All prospective students sit an Entrance Assessment, which, for those joining us at the start of Year 7, comprises written tests in English, Maths and Reasoning skills. The objective of the assessment is to enable us to identify each child's strengths and areas where they may require additional support. The Entrance Assessment, the child's school report, their school reference, along with conversations and observations during visits, are combined factors that lead to an offer of a place.
The Entrance Assessment is held on a Saturday at the end of January/beginning of February each year. If a prospective student is unable to sit the Assessment on this day, we may make arrangements for them to sit it during the following week. Please note that academic scholarships are only offered to those who sit the Assessment on the Saturday.
Entry into years 8-11 may be possible throughout the academic year, subject to the availability of places. The Entrance Assessment for prospective students in these year groups will comprise tests in English, Maths, Science and the foreign language they are currently studying.
