Year R Woodland Activity Morning

9.30am-10.30am

We warmly welcome families with Reception-age children, for this year or next, to join us for a fun and interactive morning in the beautiful Townhill Park woodland.
Come and explore the grounds and woodland of our stunning 23 acre estate, or as we like to call it, our 23 acre classroom. Discover how learning outdoors sparks curiosity, confidence and creativity, while supporting children's wellbeing and development. This outdoor session will be led by our Reception and Year 1 teachers who advocate the value of learning in fresh air and nature and the positive impact it has on a child’s early education. At The Gregg School, our small class sizes allow us to get to know every child as an individual. This means we can provide a personalised approach to learning, where each pupil is encouraged, supported and challenged according to their needs and abilities.

What to expect:

• Woodland-based activities led by our teaching team
• A chance to explore our beautiful grounds and natural learning spaces
• Insights into our Reception curriculum and approach to outdoor learning
• Hot chocolate and snacks to finish the morning

Please arrive for 9.15am. There is plenty of space to park, and we will take a short walk together down to the woodland. Having recently moved our primary phase to this unique setting, we are delighted to show you  our Cottage classrooms, grounds and woodland. Come and discover a primary education that extends beyond four walls and experience what learning at The Gregg looks like.

This event will be held at Townhill Park House, Atlantic Park View, West End, Southampton SO18 3RR. 
We are an oasis of green hidden at the end of Atlantic Park View. To find us,  drive along the Atlantic Park View Road until you see the black iron gates and the green fields and trees beyond! Younger siblings are more than welcome - 3 wheeled buggies or baby-carriers recommended.
